As innkeepers on Cape Cod, my husband and I use the slower winter months to tackle the ever-growing list of improvement projects we hope will keep the Inn fresh and well-maintained for our guests. Touch-up painting is always on the list and is perhaps my least favorite chore, as is organizing closets. But this year we are tackling the final guestroom bath update to erase the 1990s era look of the previous owners and fine-tune the sleek and contemporary look we have achieved in the rest of the Inn.
This weekend we had two very special events take place at the High Pointe Inn. The first was an engagement and the second a babymoon. The first couple is embarking on an adventure that we hope will bring them much happiness now and in the future, as two become one and share a life of love together. In today’s Cape Cod Times newspaper, there was a photo of a whale swimming about a half mile off Race Point Beach in Provincetown yesterday afternoon, March 18, 2010.
